Dr. Alexander Mirescu – Founder and CEO
Alexander has been working in international development and relations for over two decades. He received his doctorate in political science from the New School for Social Research in 2011. Since 2009, he regularly consults at UNDP, UNOIOS, UNDESA and the Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNISDR), as a result has participated in field missions in Morocco, Mexico and Panama.
In 2015, former Special Representative to the UN Secretary-General, Margareta Wahlström, nominated Alexander to the position of Promoter of the MAKING CITIES RESILIENT and Trainer of the Trainers for the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction.
In 2016, Alexander founded RESILIENT/CITY.
